Cornwall Dystonia Support GroupInaugural Meeting A meeting was held in Truro on 23rd January 2010 to get the new Cornwall Dystonia Support Group off the ground. This was well attended, with Truro’s Lady Mayor, Cllr Cox, in attendance. Lady Mayor, Cllr Cox, was delighted to be invited, especially to the Trelander Hall in which she was quite involved in it’s “Happening” She admitted she had not heard of Dystonia and was so pleased to have learned about the problems sufferers face and will continue to support the Group as it grows and tries to raise awareness of it in Cornwall. Cllr. Wiliam Tripp from Leesands, Hayle, took the Chair for the actual voting of the formation of the Support Group.The first ordinary meeting of the Group was held on Saturday March 20th 2010 from 2pm to 4.30pm in the Trelander Hall. There was be a raffle to offset expenses. The Cornwall Dystonia Support Group has now been set up. For more details please contact Janet on 0845 8997108 |
